Area Inspector

Area Inspector required to work within the repairs teams for a large housing provider.

This role is to be based covering stock across Kent, areas such as Ashford, Aylesham and Bexley.  The team in the South work collaboratively, so own transport is essential. This role will have limited involvement in the out of hours rota.

Duties,

  • Review progress, set schedule of works and monitor progress to ensure a prompt turnaround.
  • Monitor cost and spend to drive effective service.
  • Work with external maintenance teams to drive a customer focused service.
  • Support Area Manager in maintaining effective contractor relationships.
  • Liaise with internal teams to ensure customer needs are met.

Essential skills,

  • Experience in a building surveying or similar capacity - Experience of construction, maintenance, and repairs improvement programmes.
  • Repairs / maintenance experience ideally with a social housing setting.
  • Flexibility to be able to travel within a base region – own transport essential
